Nicole Scanlin

Nicole began her career at Edelman, supporting public relations efforts across consumer, healthcare, and nonprofit accounts. Drawn to mission-driven work, she transitioned into special events at Child Advocates, helping advance the organization’s mission to ensure every child in foster care had access to a court-appointed advocate.

Nicole later moved to New York City to join Project Renewal, a leading homeless services organization. Starting in special events, she rose to become Development Director, where she led fundraising strategy and, under her leadership, doubled the organization’s private donations. Today, Nicole serves at Galveston Bay Foundation, overseeing all private fundraising and communications efforts in support of the foundation’s work to protect and preserve the Galveston Bay ecosystem. She is a graduate of Texas Christian University, where she earned a dual degree in Communications and Sociology.
