Ellie Maus
Dolphin Research Assistant
Ellie Maus is a Virginia native who has spent the last few years researching dolphins along
the East Coast. She studied Biology and English at Bowdoin College and is currently
wrapping up her master’s thesis at Jacksonville University, where she investigated habitat
range extension of the St. Johns River dolphins. Her research interests include urban
stressors and their impacts on coastal dolphin populations, and is looking forward to
learning from the experts and collaborators at GDRP. In her free time, Ellie loves to be on
the water, sailing, looking for shark teeth at the beach, and exploring local gems. She is very
excited to join the team at GBF.
