Rain Barrel Workshop - Keep Friendswood Beautiful
Through our Rain Barrel Workshops, we help participants build their own rain barrels to conserve water and reduce stormwater runoff, pollution, and bacteria entering Galveston Bay.

About the event
This workshop will consist of a supply pickup, hands-on presentation, and Q&A session with Galveston Bay Foundation staff on site. The presentation will discuss water conservation tools like Water My Yard, the environmental benefits of reducing freshwater usage and collecting rainwater, as well as proper rain barrel preparation, installation instructions and tips.
Participants who purchase a rain barrel and kit can pick up their supplies during the workshop and ask questions to professionals, or utilize a video link for instructions at a later date. Pre-registration is required to reserve a barrel but the event itself is free and open to all, so please bring family and friends.
