Join us for a Rain Barrel Workshop on Saturday, April 25th from 10:00 AM–12:30 PM at Walter Hall Park BBQ Shed
(807 State Hwy 3 N, League City, TX 77573)
This workshop will consist of a supply pickup, hands-on presentation, opportunities to learn about native plants, and Q&A session with Galveston Bay Foundation staff on site. The presentation will discuss water conservation tools like Water My Yard, the environmental benefits of reducing freshwater usage and collecting rainwater, as well as proper rain barrel preparation, installation instructions and tips.
Participants who purchase a rain barrel and kit can pick up their supplies between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM and opt to stay for the hands-on installation presentation or utilize a video link for instructions at a later date. After the seminar, take a walk through the native plant sale and see how you can support your local ecosystem with potted plants, pocket prairies, and more. Pre-registration is required to reserve a barrel but the event itself is free and open to all, so please bring family and friends.
