Board Member
Dharmi is a clinical nurse analyst and registered nurse with over 15 years of experience spanning critical care and healthcare information systems. She has worked across high-acuity settings—including ICU, trauma, and emergency care—and brings a unique ability to connect frontline clinical needs with technology and process improvement.
She holds advanced degrees in nursing, management information systems, and computer science, and has led major clinical workflow and systems initiatives that improve patient safety and operational efficiency. Beyond her professional work, Dharmi has demonstrated a deep commitment to community service, serving for many years as a leader in nonprofit medical clinics and health care outreach programs.
Dharmi is also a proud mother of two daughters. For the past two years, her oldest daughter has been involved in research with the Galveston Bay Foundation, inspiring her younger sister to develop a passion for marine life, especially dolphins. Meanwhile, her husband has spent the last five years participating in bike rides around the Bay. Together, their family truly values and supports the mission of the Galveston Bay Foundation.
