Henry May

Henry is a Managing Director at Post Oak Energy Capital, where he focuses on originating, managing, and monetizing control private equity investments in the energy space.

Prior to joining Post Oak, Henry worked at Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. (“TPH”) where he advised oil and gas companies and their stakeholders on acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, public and private capital raises, and other strategic initiatives. Prior to joining TPH in 2011, Mr. May worked in a similar capacity at Barclays Capital and its advisory group’s predecessor, Lehman Brothers.

Prior to attending graduate school and joining Barclays Capital, Henry worked as a Solutions Engineer at Grant Prideco, which was acquired by National Oilwell Varco in 2007. As a Solutions Engineer, Mr. May focused on the development and application of downhole tools for the global oil and gas marketplace.

Mr. May received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin where he was a Sord Scholar and Deans Award recipient.
