Habitat Conservation Blueprint

The Galveston Bay Habitat Conservation Blueprint (1998) is an inventory of sites that have potential for conservation or restoration of habitat. Development of the Blueprint was a two-year undertaking of the Galveston Bay Foundation with input from people with an interest in preserving and restoring Galveston Bay habitats. Its intent was to fill a gap in the information base needed for effective habitat restoration efforts, and to follow up on the Galveston Bay Plan’s identification of habitat loss as the number one priority problem in Galveston Bay. An 2007 Update (.pdf 22MB) to the original publication was completed by the Environmental Institute of Houston.
