2011 Contest Announcement
2011 Rules and Guidelines
☻ Photo must be taken on or nearby Galveston Bay (no Gulf photos will be judged)
☻ No entry fee
☻ Need not be present to win
☻ One entry per person
☻ Deadline for contest entry is May 17, 2011 at 5:00pm
☻ Submit your photo entry via email to photo@galvbay.org, or send in a 5X7 print on photograph quality paper (no borders please) to 17330 Highway 3, Webster, TX 77598
☻ label photo with photographer’s last name
☻ Submit photo as an email attachment in JPEG format, max of 5MB size file at 180 to
300 dpi
☻ Include your entry level as the subject line: Grades 6 – 8, Grades 9 – 12 or Adult
☻ Minor digital enhancements such as cropping and color adjustments are allowed
☻ Include in body of email: photographer’s name, title of photograph, date and location the photo was taken. If student, add: school, grade, and guardian’s name. In one or two sentences, tell us what inspired your photo.
☻ Top 12 finalists - 4 per entry level - will be cropped to 5x7 (7x5) inches, printed, displayed, and judged by the public at Bay Day
☻ Voting hours are from 11:00am to 3:30pm at Bay Day on May 21, 2011
☻ Winners will be announced at Bay Day after 4:00pm
☻ Encourage your family and friends to come to Bay Day and vote for your photo
☻ An individual may vote only once
☻ Winners will be displayed on our website
☻ By submitting a photo for entry, you agree to the following:
- You are the photographer of the entry
- You grant GBF the right to use your photo in any manner
