Bay Day is a one-day celebration presented by the Galveston Bay Foundation and numerous community partners. It is a fun event for families and adults that allows attendees to experience and learn more about Galveston Bay, the largest bay in Texas and one of the most productive estuaries in the country! Bay Day highlights include hands-on, interactive exhibits, activities and demonstrations that emphasize the beauty and value of Galveston Bay.
One Fun Day to Celebrate the Bay! Join us for Family Fun at Bay Day 2014
Enjoy a fun-filled, family-friendly day at the Kemah Boardwalk featuring exhibits and activities that celebrate all that Galveston Bay has to offer! Bring your friends and family to our free Bay Day celebration on Saturday, April 26th. You’ll have opportunities to see and touch local wildlife, create your own Galveston Bay-themed crafts and keepsakes, and learn all about Galveston Bay in a single day!
When: Saturday, April 26, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Where: Kemah Boarwalk, 215 Kipp Ave, Kemah, TX
This year, we present the Water Wonders Corner in the Lighthouse Lot of the Kemah Boardwalk. The lot will feature aquatic-themed activities and live creatures of the bay, as well as the famous fish print t-shirt station.
Make sure that the kiddos participate in the Blue Crab Scavenger Hunt at Bay Day for a special prize and a chance to get a photo with Toro, the Houston Texans’ mascot, or Gulfy, the dolphin mascot of the Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network.

We're calling all bay enthusiasts with an eye for photography to submit their photos to our 2014 Bay Gazer Photo Contest and join us for the announcement of our winners at Bay Day Festival. There are three entry levels based on age from 11-13 yrs, 14-17 yrs, and ages 18 plus. Each participant may submit up to three photos. The photos will then be carefully selected and voted on by the public at the Bay Day Festival on the Kemah Boardwalk on Saturday, April 26.
