Restore America's Estuaries
The Galveston Bay Foundation is a proud member of Restore America's Estuaries ("RAE"). Established in 1995, Restore America's Estuaries serves as a national alliance of 11 community-based organizations that preserve the nation's network of estuaries by protecting and restoring the lands and waters essential to the richness and diversity of coastal life. Restore America's Estuaries represents the interests of millions of citizens who care about the future of their coasts and estuaries. Working closely with government, business, volunteer, and conservation organizations Restore America's Estuaries has become a national force in the conservation of estuarine and coastal habitat.
In addition to the Galveston Bay Foundation, RAE's members include American Littoral Society, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana, Conservation Law Foundation, North Carolina Coastal Federation, People for Puget Sound, Save San Francisco Bay Association- Save the Bay, Save the Bay Narragansett Bay, Save the Sound (a program of the Connecticut Fund for the Environment), and Tampa Bay Watch.
